EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Vacancy exists for a childcare provider (nanny) to care for one infant (11 months old) Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work extended hours on some evenings and occasional weekends (50+ hours) at the residence of U.S. Ambassador-Designate Michelle Kwan.
Successful candidate will be required to obtain a security clearance and undergo a medical examination.
BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE NANNY POSITION: The childcare provider will be expected to create a safe and stimulating environment for the child. Duties include bathing, dressing, changing diapers, potty-training, planning and preparing meals, feeding the child, indoor and outdoor play, educational activities, and crafts activities, reading to the child, and maintaining a neat and organized room for toys/clothing. This individual must be able to tailor activities to the child’s interest, developmental abilities, and personality as well as communicate effectively with the parent. The position will be expected to start early December 2022.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- At least three years of relevant experience
- Completion of high school
- Initiative, good interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and flexibility
- Discretion and responsible behavior
- Patience and communication skills to successfully interact with the child
- Willingness to receive CPR and first-aid training
- Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement
